One of the disadvantages of fluorescent lamps, which has been investigated recently, is the production of harmonics in the power supply network, which causes disturbances in the work of precision instruments, reduces the life of chokes, creates noise on devices, etc., which in industrialized countries and In important centers, these lamps are not used or some kind of filtering is used to reduce their effects.

The feature of low consumption of these lamps is when the mercury inside the lamp gets hot, and in the initial states of lighting the lamp, it has no less consumption than incandescent lamps.

The stroboscopic or flickering effect is one of the disadvantages of these lamps. Due to the alternating current of electricity, in fluorescent lamps, a slight fluctuation of radiation occurs, which cannot be detected by the eye under normal conditions, but if the images or objects are rotating in the field of vision, they may appear stationary at certain speeds. Or the viewer may make a mistake in recognizing their position. To solve this problem, a two-lamp or three-lamp system is used, and a capacitor is added in the path of one lamp to create phase priority.

Interference with radio and television waves makes the receivers not have clear sound or image. The reason for this is due to the radiation of the spectrum caused by the stimulation of mercury in the range of long waves. In the same way, in non-standard ballast and faulty ballast, it is possible to create disturbing fields to receive waves. Radios have this problem mostly on AM and FM wavelengths. To solve this problem, an anti-interference circuit must be used in the path of the radio antenna, or the distance between the antenna and the fluorescent lamp should be more than 3 meters.

Moonlight fluorescent lamps are in the form of a hollow glass tube, which, in addition to mercury, contains some dense gases. Also, a phosphor layer, which plays the main role in these lamps, is drawn inside the bulb of this lamp.

The price of fluorescent lamps is lower than other lamps in the market. These lamps are much cheaper than LED and incandescent lamps.

These equipment emit a lot of light and with the help of one of them, you can light up a wide area. These lamps produce several times less heat than incandescent and gas lamps.
