Plastics forming processes

1- Extrusion processes:

1-1 Compounding (Extruder): In this process, the materials are first heated and cut into a circular shape under shearing force, then cooled by water or air and cut into granules. This process is used to produce masterbatch and compounds.

2-1 Film Blowing: In this process, the melted materials come out of the die that is vertical to the ground surface and are cooled by air or water and are made into rolls of packaging film. Blow film is single, three, five and seven layers. This process is used to produce packaging, search, and shrink films.

3-1 Cast: The process was horizontal and sheet production was in the form, and the only difference was in the type of die at the end of the extruder, which is rectangular with a very small with.

1-3-1 This process is used to produce thinner packaging films.

2-3-1 Lamination: It is used to produce packaging films and multi-layered sacks and sheets.

3-3-1 Sheet extrusion: This process is used to produce polymer sheets.

4-3-1 Yarn production extrusion: It is used to produce all kinds of textile yarns.

4-1 Pipe extrusion: It is used to produce all kinds of single and multi-layer pipes.

5-1 Wire and cable extrusion: It is used to cover all kinds of wires and cables.

2- Injection Molding process:

In this process, the materials are melted and directed into the mold, and the mold is cooled by water and takes its shape. This process is used to produce all kinds of car parts, household appliances, computer parts, micro polymer parts.

3- Blow molding process:

In this process, after melting, the materials are made into a tube and moved towards the mold, and then they are inflated and cooled by air. This process is used to produce various types of hollow parts such as bottles and car tanks

4- Compression molding:

In this process, after preheating, the material is put under pressure and the desired part is produced. This process is used for thermostats and network polymers.

5- Rotomolding:

In this process, the polymer is placed in a powder form in the mold and melts during the heating of the mold and its rotation and takes the shape of the mold. This process is used in the production of very large parts.

6- Thermoforming:

In this process, the material is made into a large sheet and after being heated, it is placed on the mold and takes the final shape. This process is used to produce thin and sensitive parts such as protective lining of refrigerator and car parts.

7- Vacuum Forming:

In this process, the material is rolled into a sheet and is made into a final shape using a vacuum. This process is used to produce packaging for yogurt and dairy products, etc.
